Questions we get every week.
Do you charge for quotes?
No, quotes are free and carry no obligation. For bigger jobs like bathrooms or heat pumps we'll visit, measure up properly, and put the options in writing so you can compare like for like.
How far out of Hexham will you travel?
We regularly work across the Tyne Valley, Corbridge, Stocksfield, Riding Mill, Prudhoe, and out to Allendale, Haltwhistle and the surrounding countryside. If you're further afield, ring us; if we can't get to you we'll say so straight away.
My house isn't on mains gas. Can you still help?
Yes, that's one of our specialties. We're OFTEC registered for oil-fired heating, install and service LPG systems, and fit air source heat pumps for homes that want off oil altogether.
Are you certified for electrical work?
All our domestic electrical work is carried out to current wiring regulations and properly certificated, including EICR condition reports for landlords. Ask when you book and we'll walk you through the paperwork you'll receive.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Regularly. We handle gas safety checks, EICR inspections, boiler servicing and responsive repairs across rental properties in Hexham and the valley, with certificates emailed straight to you or your agent.
What should I do if I smell gas or my heating fails suddenly?
If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 first, open windows and doors, and avoid switches and naked flames. For heating breakdowns, ring us on 07946 443500 and we'll get to you as quickly as we can.
