Terms & conditions
Last updated: July 2026
These terms set out the general basis on which TBA Heating & Plumbing Ltd ("we", "us") provides quotes, callouts and work for customers. Specific jobs may have their own written terms agreed with you before work starts — where they differ, the written agreement for your job takes priority.
About us
TBA Heating & Plumbing Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 14358203. Registered office: Burnside House, Burn Lane, Hexham Business Park, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 3RU. Phone: 07946 443500.
Quotes
- Quotes are free and carry no obligation.
- A quote describes the work, materials and price as understood at the time. If something unexpected comes to light once work begins, which can happen with older properties, we will tell you before doing anything that changes the price, and agree the way forward with you first.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. Material prices can move, so an expired quote may need refreshing before work is booked.
Booking and callouts
- We agree a time slot with you when work is booked. If we're delayed, we'll contact you as soon as we know.
- If you need to rearrange, please give us as much notice as you can. Repeated missed appointments where we've attended as agreed may be chargeable.
- For emergency callouts, we'll explain any callout charge on the phone before we set off, so there are no surprises.
Payment
- Payment terms, including whether a deposit applies and when balances are due, are confirmed with your quote or invoice before work starts.
- For larger jobs, staged payments may be agreed in writing in advance.
- Invoices are payable by the date shown on them. We may charge interest on seriously overdue amounts as allowed by law.
Our work
- All gas work is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer, all oil work by an OFTEC registered technician, and all electrical work to current wiring regulations with appropriate certification provided.
- We carry out work with reasonable skill and care and leave your property tidy.
- Where manufacturers provide warranties on appliances we install, we'll register or pass these to you. Details of any workmanship guarantee for your particular job will be confirmed in writing with your quote.
Materials and access
- Materials we supply remain our property until paid for in full.
- We need reasonable access to carry out the work at the agreed times, along with working electricity and water where the job requires them.
If something goes wrong
If you're not happy with any work we've done, tell us as soon as possible and give us the opportunity to inspect and put it right. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Cancellation
Where you agree work with us away from our premises (for example, at your home), you may have a statutory cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that period and then cancel, you may be charged for the work done up to that point. We'll explain how this applies to your job when you book.
