This policy explains what personal information TBA Heating & Plumbing Ltd collects through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have over it under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
TBA Heating & Plumbing Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14358203. Registered office: Burnside House, Burn Lane, Hexham Business Park, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 3RU. For anything in this policy, you can contact us by phone on 07946 443500 or by post at the address above.
What information we collect
Contact form
If you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address (if provided), your town or village, the type of work you're asking about, and the message you write. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, and arrange any work you ask us to carry out.
Phone and text
If you call or text us, we may keep a record of your name, number and the details of your enquiry so we can follow up, prepare a quote, or schedule work.
Information we do not collect
This website does not run analytics, advertising or social media tracking. We do not build marketing profiles, and we do not collect any information about your browsing beyond what is described in the cookies section below.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a single local storage entry that remembers whether you accepted or rejected the cookie notice, so we don't keep showing it to you. It contains no personal information and is never sent anywhere. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings, or change your choice using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page.
If we ever add services that set additional cookies (for example embedded maps or analytics), we will update this policy and the cookie notice before they are used.
How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes you have asked for.
- To schedule, carry out and follow up work at your property.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as gas safety and electrical certificates and invoices.
Our lawful bases for this are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing that contract, and complying with our legal obligations. We do not use your details for marketing without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it where necessary to deliver our services or meet legal duties, for example with certification bodies when registering safety certificates, with our accountant for invoicing records, or with suppliers arranging a delivery to your property. Where the form on this website is submitted, the details are delivered to us via our email or form-handling provider; we keep such providers to a minimum and will name them here once the website's form service is finalised.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details that don't lead to work are deleted within a reasonable period. Records connected to completed work, quotes, invoices, safety certificates, are kept for as long as tax law and industry certification rules require, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
